220px-Coventry_bomb_damage_H5600In 1944 the English city of Coventry established a twin-city link with Stalingrad, then with Kiel and Lidice (1947) and with Dresden (1959). In 2010 Coventry cathedral received a Christmas gift of 1000 origami birds from Hiroshima where a service is held for Coventry on 14 November each year. Coventry reciprocates with a service of remembrance for Hiroshima on 6 August.
